HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
to all you (US) mom's out there in blogland!
Hope you have a lovely day!
Yesterday I took some time to play in the cave with some of my new goodies
and came up with this card.
I spotted the challenge over on Simon Says Stamps where the theme is Stencil It, so that is where this cards life began. I have lots and lots of specific stencils but since I wanted to showcase this beautiful bouquet of flowers I decided to use a simple circle stencil that I made by hand years ago for my background. The color I used is Tim Holtz 'Kitsch Flamingo' Distress Oxide ink.
The 3D decoupage sheet was purchased at this years Adventures in Stamping convention held here in Akron, Ohio in April but you can find many of these sheets HERE. There are SEVERAL available on this site so be sure to click on the left side of the image (up or down) to see them all.
As you can see below, there are a couple pieces that go with each main image that you add dimensional tape and stack. Each of these pieces are precut so there is NO HAND CUTTING necessary.
I used the largest die from the Paper Rose 'Stitched Rectangle Frames' (#16679) to help frame my flowers then added a sentiment from the Creative Expressions Wordies Sentiment Sheet 'Inspirational'. A few pink Nuvo drops and my card is ready to hopefully make someone's day a little more special.
I took a little time and put all these floral clusters together so they are ready to go when I need to create a quick (but beautiful) card. Here's a closer look at the cluster on this card . . .
Needless to say, photos don't really give 3D images justice ... this card is so much prettier in person but this gives you the idea of how these 3D Decoupage clusters look.
