Sketch #750

 Hello Friends!
Happy Saturday!

It's time for a new sketch over on the SKETCH SATURDAY Challenge Blog
and, once again we have an added option which is:

USE BUTTONS

Here's today's sketch . . .

This time around, I did NOT use the option of Buttons.  I struggle with using
buttons due to the mailing issue and I have found people won't buy a card
with buttons on it for that exact reason and since I sell my cards at
an annual craft show, I chose to leave off the buttons.

I did however create this entire card from scraps that were on my
work table from past projects.  Now when it came to the hexagon, that
was a bit tricky since I thought I had a set of hexagon dies but
heaven only knows where they might be since I couldn't find them anywhere!

I did however spot this Sue Wilson 'Bella Frames & Tags' die set (CED4347)
and thought the hexagon die within this set would work ... and as you see, it did!

The sentiment stamp is from a Rubbernecker stamp set
and the butterflies is an old Martha Stewart punch.

Won't you come join the fun at Sketch Saturday?

As always, thanks so much for taking the time to stop in and say Hello!

  1. Well, there you go... you found a hexagon and made it work for you beautifully! That's a gorgeous SW die you pulled it from. Perfect use of the sketch! My button collection, mostly from Mom, is now displayed in jars in my craft room. They're fun to look at, but they rarely made it to a card.

  2. Love the colours on your card, Darlene. So happy and bright. I don't use buttons either for that same reason, so I have a few jars of buttons that just sit and stare at me :-) The other item that I don't often use anymore, also because of mailing issues, are flowers. You know the 3D flowers you buy from craft stores - I have 4 boxes with different flowers in all sorts of colours and sizes and they never get used either.
