Pink & Green

 Hello Friends and Welcome Back!

Today I've created a card to satisfy a couple of challenges I spotted on Paper Playful over the weekend.  Those would be ...

Color Hues Challenge

and a 'new to me' challenge called:  Beyond The Blue Challenge Blog and they are asking you to use the technique of 'Wrinkle Free Distress Oxide Backgrounds'.  (which I have done for today's background)

I have used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks 'Picked Raspberry' and 'Twisted Citron'.

The overlay die cut is an old Cheery Lynn Designs die called 'Daisy Lace Frame' (FRM118).  My sentiment dies are by Tutti Designs ... HAPPY and BIRTHDAY.  I chose a The Paper Studio self sticking GEM for the center flower.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope you have a FABULOUS day!

  1. Absolutely gorgeous with that colorful background and the Daisy Lace die cut panel laying over it.

  2. Oh how delightful!! I love your colors you chose and the cover die is beautiful! Thank you so much for playing along with us at Beyond the Blue!

  3. Pink and green is such a beautiful and happy colour combination, isn't it? Your card is beautiful, Darlene. You have the perfect background for this beautiful die. Love it!
My friend, I hope you and yours had a very Blesses Easter.

  4. Pretty die and your background is so pretty with it, the gem is a great touch to top it off!

  5. Beautiful card! Love the background with the white overlay. Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!

  6. I love this background technique and your beautiful cards make me want to go play with inks and water! Love your cover plate. Cheery Lynn sure had some pretty dies, and they were good quality.

Thanks for taking the time to leave me some love!
