Hello Dear Friends!
It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Here's today's theme:
Things that FLY
and here's an inspiration board I've created to help get you started . . .
A short while back, I picked up some the Paper Studio products that were on sale for 40% off at Hobby Lobby. This hummingbird came from one of those packs ... they are called Stick-a-bilities. They are actually die cut images (not stickers) and certainly makes for a quick & easy card creation.
I've also used a Creative Expressions Mini Stencil (Sweet Honeycomb) for the background, sponged using Tim Holtz distress oxide inks. My sentiment is from a Pink Fresh stamp & die set called 'Perfect Sentiments'.
Remember, it's a random draw for the winner so it could be YOU!!
Here's what I'm offering as today's prize
You'll want to be sure to pop over to the Double D Challenge Blog to see all the details and amazing samples offered up by our VERY TALENTED design team ladies!!

Don't you love good finds that make card making so easy? This hummingbird is so pretty and I love the stenciled background you gave it. Great job color matching!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hummingbird piece. Love the stenciled honeycomb design, especially on the envie, makes for a pretty set!
ReplyDeleteYour pretty stenciled background matches the hummingbird perfectly on your card, he is bold and beautiful and definitely takes center stage!! I haven't seen any hummers here yet, maybe it's because it's too noisy with the roofers here or just too early!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, I too have a few of those die cut images, they are really good quality, neat background with your bird!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, Darlene! Those oxide inks are always so vibrant and this stenciled background is amazing. The sweet hummingbird is a perfect match.
ReplyDeleteThis pretty pretty hummingbird, sigh... Your stenciled background and sentiment are quite perfectly color coordinated and make such a nice companion without being too much. I've been seeing a lot of hummingbirds the last few days. I don't know what they're going for as there's nothing blooming to speak of. They do eat bugs, though, and suck tree sap for energy. We have Annas year round.
ReplyDeleteLovely creative Sis, one awesome post.. A wonderful design with a great background and a perfect sentiment as well! x
ReplyDeleteOh, Darlene, this is just stunning. That humming bird is just flying of the page, and I love the background. Really, Really pretty!!
ReplyDeleteO what a lovely card and I do like the background that you have created for that beautiful humming bird Michelle x
ReplyDeleteQuick and easy card, but totally gorgeous. What a beautiful hummingbird on the lovely background you created. Beautifully done, my friend. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs, Lena
