Wood Block Wednesday

Hello Friends
Amy Tsuruta has her Woodblock Wednesday challenge up and running and I've been trying to join in each month as it gives me the opportunity to play with all my old wooden block stamps which don't get the love they deserve since clear stamps came about.

The wood block stamp I've used today is from Impression Obsession and is called Cape Lookout Lighthouse (#F1172) and I'm happy to say it is still available for purchase.

I started out by using the residual ink left in a couple of my TH distress oxide ink large daubers for the background color.  The inked my stamp with Versafine Onyx and stamped it carefully to keep the lighthouse in the 'sandy' area.  I then colored the lighthouse using Tombow markers and created the beam of light using another dauber I have for the yellow distress ink.

My sentiment is also very old and comes from a company I don't believe is in business any longer.  That is Cornish Heritage Farms and the stamp is called Beacon of Hope.

I can't tell you how quick & easy this card was to create and I must say ... I'm truly thrilled that Amy has this challenge available because I had forgotten how many awesome stamps I have in my collection of wood block stamps and how much fun I had creating this card today!

Why not pop over and check out her blog and play along ... you know you have wood block stamps that need some love just like I do!  LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day ahead!!
As always . . .
