Double D - Pockets

 Hello Dear Friends!

It's time once again for a new challenge over on the Double D Challenge Blog!
Diane is our host today and her theme of choice is:

POCKETS

and here's an inspiration board she has created to help get you started . . .

This card is not at all what I started out with but I love how it ended up!  I have had this Frantic Stamper 'Kitchen Dress A2 Card Maker' die (FRA-DIE-09223) for quite some time but have never used it before now.  And oh what fun I had creating with it.  As you can see by the image of the die set below, there are several pieces that you can use (or not) in so many fun ways.

I actually started out by making a card within itself since it is A2 in size, but then decided to use it as a front on a A7 (5x7) card instead.  So after having the apron all together I separated it and will use the back half for another card.

For the dress, I used some fun polka dot paper from an Echo Park Paper Co. 6x6 pad called Dots & Stripes.  For the background on my card I thought this panel of drawers paper from a P13 'Always and Forever' paper pad (gifted to my by BFF Diane ... thanks my friend!) would tie in well with the 'apron/dress' and I took the liberty of  'labeling' a few of the drawers with baking element names such as Allspice, sugar, flour, cloves ... you get the idea.  I used another panel of the same paper for the inside of my card but left off the label names.

I hope you've found inspiration from today's creation!
The prize that you'll be playing for this time around is:

Remember, it's a random draw for the winner so it could be YOU!!

I've had the best time with it and used it lots. Kind of addictive. The old timey drawer paper is perfect with it, too. I think of spice drawers. So fun!
